The Calculator gives approximate estimates for general guidance. All results, including lateral lengths, flow rates, pressures, head losses, pipe sizes, irrigation times and pump power, are indicative only and are not a system design.
The Calculator is not professional engineering, agronomic or design advice. Before you buy, install or operate any system, have it designed and checked by a qualified irrigation designer who can review your actual field conditions, water source, water quality, topography, soil and crop needs.
Results use published product data and standard hydraulic formulas (Darcy-Weisbach for driplines, Hazen-Williams for pipes) with simplifying assumptions, including clean water at about 20 °C, new pipes, clean filters, uniform slope and nominal manufacturing values. Real performance varies with installation, water quality, ageing, clogging, temperature, elevation changes and manufacturing tolerances. Pipe inside diameters for PVC, HDPE and other pipes are approximate and must be checked against the supplier's data. Product data may change without notice.
